Malagasy cocoa from the Sambirano valley in Madagascar has unique fruity aromas, slightly spicy and a little sharp.
The beans are processed (roast, ground and conched) in their country of origin, rather than being sent to Europe first, which is more often the case.We have a good relationship with the producers and have been out to visit the farms in 2017, making this chocolate from Madagascar one is close to our hearts.
We make chocolate bars and then grate them. Fun fact: chocolate made for eating usually has extra cocoa butter added so it melts in your mouth, however if you put this in to a drink it can leave some oil on the surface and less body in your hot chocolate. We balance our recipes for making a rich, chocolately drink, our chocolate is designed for drinking.
Our fine chocolate shavings melt into hot milk, for an easy to make luxurious treat.
Directions:Stir 3 dessert spoons (30g) into a cup of hot milk (150ml)
Store in a cool, dry place. This will keep for min 6 months.
